I usually don’t let things said on the internet get to me, but I have been seeing some comments referring to Korra’s paleness in my most recent drawing. If you look through my tumblr and see my WIP posts regarding the piece, I did originally color her as much darker. Unfortunately when I finished coloring and worked to incorporate the roughened paper texture, I didn’t think about how it would affect the overall coloring— believe me when I say it was never my intention to “whitewash” her and I was just trying to give the piece a more aged look.

I went back and reedited the piece to fix the color balance. I apologize if I offended anyone, and I’ll be much more conscious of such things in future pieces.
